Deborah Stone owns and operates Stone Veterinary Practice Management (StoneVPM) based in Austin, Texas. She has been involved with veterinary practice management for more than twenty years and has experience in specialty, emergency and general practice management. She also brings several years of experience from the hospitality industry to the veterinary industry in order to provide fresh and creative solutions.
Deborah’s presentations are energetic and highly interactive in order to encourage team buy-in and to help support the implementation of developed practice solutions. Her strategy is to encourage team participation in order to make a positive impact in practice processes.
Deborah believes the most effective way to make positive change is by developing solutions together.
She received her MBA at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas and earned her Certified Veterinary Practice Manager accreditation from the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association. Deborah is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership Studies.
Deborah is a national speaker, founder of Austin City Unlimited Veterinary Management Symposium, and published author of practice management articles. Deborah also serves on the Advisory Board of Exceptional Veterinary Team.
Deborah enjoys spending time with her family, Mortie and Purr Boxx as well as performing with her band, the LaxaTones.
Andrew Jonardi provides IT services for StoneVPM. He is the founder of Pet-IT, a Central Texas Information Technology Consulting Business specializing on the unique computer and networking infrastructure needs of Veterinary Practices and Hospitals. He has been serving AAHA and TVMA accredited Veterinary Hospitals for more than 7 years and has experience working with the leading practice management software systems and has worked with small practices with as few as two computers up to large, multi-location hospitals. Prior to starting Pet-IT, he worked for several Austin high tech companies including Dell, AMD, Ross Technology, and Motorola. In 1984, he received his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
Russ provides a creative vision to StoneVPM. After studies on Molecular Biology he received a degree at the University of Texas at Austin. He brings years of experience in medicine and technology as well and art. Russ uses the right blend of head and heart when he artfully develops websites, video and other multimedia support. He is open and willing to try just about anything and then share it with the wild and wonderful world of the internet in order to pull us all together and provide tools for efficiency and fun.
